But that's not to say I agree that certain proposals which would have
the effect of rendering the symbol useless are inherently bad.

(Hmm... not enough negatives...)

I support, tentatively, certain proposals which could render the
variable prefix symbols useless.

But I guess that's all I have to say on the subject.
