What I do *not* want to see is a totally different distribution for Mac. I like the idea of a SciPerl or SciPDL that is more complete (e.g. includes PGPLOT, PLplot and PDL::Stats). But I want to see that for all platforms, or at least two platforms. I don't want it to be some ad-hoc Mac-only branch.
I prefer the term SciPerl for the following reasons: * It's meaning is more clear to someone who is not already a PDL user. * It opens the door to useful non-PDL scientific packages. I would like to talk about how we can make a cross-platform SciPerl distribution. Daniel.
