_No_ official PDL releases have had a hard dependency
on OpenGL. For a brief time during the portability work
getting OpenGL and TriD working for win32 and macosx
we did have CPAN developers releases with that
required to force tests of the build with TriD.
Another issue is that the version of OpenGL installed
needs to be at least at version POGL_VERSION as
specified in the perldl.conf file for your version.
