'pendekar hukum' deh.
Mau tahu kualitas pakar hukum kita? Mari kita tengok Harkristuti dosen UI
(kampus ORBA? Hehe...).
suruh ngungsi, siapa yg bakar membakar. Ya fakta sih memang perlu juga.
Cuman nggak lalu dibolak-balik kayak orang bikin nasi goreng gitu. Dosen
gemblung kok bergaya.....:) Sudah jualan nasi goreng aja deh.
Tobat-tobat...... :)
Nah, si UNTAET gombal itu lihat deh. Begitu kena tuduhan langsung berkelit
bilangnya welcome. Mana itu si Cockroach yang berani njeplak itu? Mana
alasan keamanan itu? Katanya sudah aman sejak sebulan yg lalu?! Memang payah
kalau jendral yg cuman kebagian ngebersihin sampah di garis belakang Vietnam
kayak Cockroach dikasih jabatan. Jadinya ngelunjak. Persis kayak Marjuki.
Wah, kalau sekarang Buyung ke Timtim sih kondisi lapangan sudah diset-up
sama INTERFET deh. Jangan-jangan si Cockroach memerlukan untuk bikin cacat
penduduk lokal.
Buyung...buyung.... tugasmu berat nian nak. Coba dulu ikut jadi Brutus
terhadap Habibie, elu kan sudah jadi Jakgung. Kalah strategi sama Marjuki
sih....:) Yah, nasib.

KPP HAM Invites Adnan Buyung Nasution On Trip To East Timor
Jakarta, Kompas Online
Chairman of the Investigation Commission of Human Rights Offenses (KPP HAM)
in East Timor, Albert Hasibuan, denied allegations voiced by Adnan Buyung
Nasution (Chairman Advocacy Team of Human Rights of TNI Officers) that
failure to enter the region was due to a conspiracy between the National
Commission of Human Rights, Interfet and the United Nations Transitional
Administration in East Timor (UNTAET).
"There is no conspiracy. What conspiracy? Let's go together to East
Timor to watch from nearby the burnt carcasses of buildings and
homes. Let's go to Suai also and visit the killing site at the church of
Suai," Hasibuan told Kompas Sunday (19/12) in Jakarta.
A report said that after unsuccessful efforts to enter East Timor,
Nasution concluded that he was under the impression that a conspiracy was
going on between the National Commission of Human Rights (Komnas HAM),
Interfet and UNTAET. Nasution said, however, that his impressions might have
been wrong.
UNTAET also denied the allegation in a press release, that it had
refused entry to Nasution. "It is not true that UNTAET and Interfet
refused entry of Nasution. You are welcome, please come in, but let
us know 24 hours before coming over," Sidney Jones, a staff member
of UNTAET's rights unit said.
"There is not one delegation from which ever country, that has
demanded immediate entry into East Timor, and certainly not if a
delegation consists of 27 members, Sidney Jones said explaining at
the same time that Nasution had not informed them how long they
would stay, and whom they like to meet.
"We have accomodation problems, transportation and security problems," he
explained further.
No reasons
Referring to a temporary conclusion of the Advocacy Team that the offenses
were an expression of disappointment on the side of the public, Hasibuan
said that it was not a justified reason. Errors made in the past and
disappointment of the public are no reasons to justify human rights
offenses.
"Like it or not, we have to admit it. If an error had been made by Unamet,
that would not whitewash human rights offenses. The logic
that arson taking place in most of East Timor by new arrivals, should
be linked to the psychological situation of a disappointed people, is
just unacceptable," Hasibuan said.
"KPP HAM does not want to blame TNI (Indonesian Armed Forces)
which has an official policy like we have when we meet the TNI Chief
Commander and President Gus Dur. It is difficult, however, to
mention the names of TNI members once you've observed massive destruction,"
he said again.
Explanations in the offing
Starting Monday (20/12) KPP HAM will be conducting a series of
meetings with various groups who knew of the HAM violations in East
Timor. Foremr Chief Commander General Wiranto, is one of the persons who
will be sounded out for more informations.
Saturday (18/12), at Bina Graha, Wiranto told the press that he will
explain or provide informations to KPP HAM about the East Timor
problem. He also regretted that KPP HAM had published a collection
of facts, which, in his opinion, held a onesided version.
Wiranto told reporters to great length, about a chronoligical situation in
East Timor, from the start right to the end of the incidents.
He said, his involvement in East Timor in 1976 had been of a strategic
nature which formed a link to the recent polling opinion in the region.
"It was my duty to explain the real situation of East Timor to the
public. Because of moral responsibilities, it was assumed that I knew
exactly what happened in East Timor," said Wiranto who smiled a lot
that afternoon.
The former TNI Chief Commander in BJ Habibie's government also
said, KPP HAM should be provided with facts, indeed. It is, after all,
their task to look for data and facts, not to investigate or indict
people.
"KPP HAM is looking for facts to forward it to the National Commission of
Human Rights, which, in turn will be handing these over to government," he
said.
He also said, throwing wide open the results of the fact collection and
informations by KPP HAM, only worsened the problem. Wiranto showed the
collected facts which KPP HAM had published, a good part of it stemmed from
Unamet quarters, Interfet and from pro-independence communities.
"No explanation had been requested by the Indonesian government,
the Indonesian military, Indonesian bureaucrats, and from the
pro-integration side. They count just a few. But it has been exposed,"
he said.
Wiranto said also that publication by KPP HAM cannot be justified.
"I regret this very much." Later he said, his request to Adnan Buyung
Nasution and colleagues had been made to prevent the other side
from misusing the law against his group, the Indonesian Armed
Forces.
So, he said, the team of lawyers is not going to oppose the court, if
there will be a court case. They are there to also protect citizens
from such irregularities.
Meanwhile, Hendardi, Chairman of PBHI, and Indonesia University
lecturer, Harkristuti Harkrisnowo, Chairman of the Foreign Department
National Mandate Party (PAN), Bara Nasution, said that the trip of Nasution
and company had only been a public stunt. Locals and the international world
would then be able to see how he and his team have really been working. But,
he failed in these efforts.
Harkristuti said that he refused to join Nasution's team. Nasution is
only collecting information, not the facts of real happenings which are
keeping global attention trained on it. (*)
