Our museum is located right beside an active airport for small aircraft -
and they also have a problem with seagulls and geese - especially during
migration. They use acoustic scarers to deter birds - but instead of high
frequency they use lower frequency "booms" - might not be super
practical for central London - but the Aviation Industry might have some
good leads on deterring birds.

Subject: [PestList] Bird scarers

Hi folks
Since Covid, we are having serious problems with seagulls and pigeons
settling on the Great Court glass roof (see image of aerial view) and
making a hell of a mess. It has been suggested that the birds see it as a
‘lake’ and we have never had success with things like shock systems or
brining a hawk around the site
Our pest control company has recommended high frequency acoustic scarers
I don’t have any experience of them so have any of you used them and is it
worth the investment?
Many thanks
Adie
