Just checking on the maximum life span of a varied carpet beetle, from egg to
death of the adult.

The imp.ucanr.edu/pmg site says 10-20 days for eggs to hatch, 220-630 days for
the larval stage, 10-13 days for pupation, 2-6 weeks for the adult.

The museumpests.net site says " Eggs hatch in 10-20 days. Larvae develop over a
3 - 36 month period and can molt from 5 to 12 times. The pupal stage lasts 6 -
24 days, but the adult may take up to three weeks before it emerges" i.e, well
over 3 years.

Thanks!
