In that case I'd suggest a show of hands.
Can anyone who is interested in attending the school one evening declare
that interest here and mention any dates that are not suitable?
interested. Not tues 6th otherwise OK.
Here's a collaborative tool that may make it easier

Enter your name, tick the available evenings and it'll add up those
available in each case.
I thing we should keep the existing meeting in place next Tuesday, and
look to use it to do as much experimenting as we can so that we're not
completely feeling around in the dark (but that's just me as I have no
prior knowledge; if others know what they're doing that's great). It
also means the meeting at the school can be better focused (less general
chat about life, Ubuntu 8.04, and Stuart's laptop problems :-)
If someone had an LTSP server they could bring along we could play at
being thin clients and look at the sound and USB issues ?
I could manage to put one together in time if there's nobody with one
already or a better state of knowledge (which wouldn't be hard).
