If you have a block of fixed IP addresses, and your mail server is appropriately configured, then your ISP should allow you to send mail "directly". Having said that, I can also imagine a variety of conditions under which it might be easier/better for them to require all of their customers to use a centralized mail server. You might try communicating with your ISP - perhaps they'd be glad to pass your port 25 traffic directly through their network if asked to do so? Good Luck, Jay
