..one of the sources of inspiration for Linus to write git. He was not satisfied with its speed and he didn't like C++ and SQL. Plus the main contributors weren't around at the time Linus was on the mailing list. So he turned away and did his own thing, in C and filesystem based. (Most ranting stripped).
