One thing I've noticed with parallel check-world is that it's possible for a sub-job to fail and for the resulting complaint from make to scroll offscreen before everything stops, leaving all the visible output being from another sub-job that completed just fine. If you don't look VERY closely, or check $?, you can easily be misled into thinking the tests all passed. I think it'd be a good idea to fix check-world so that there's a positive printout at the end of a successful run, along the lines of the +@echo "All of PostgreSQL successfully made. Ready to install." we have for the "all" target. regards, tom lane -- Sent via pgsql-hackers mailing list (pgsql-hackers@postgresql.org) To make changes to your subscription: http://www.postgresql.org/mailpref/pgsql-hackers
