I hear this answer (kill magicdev) a LOT with regards to several problems regarding performance, burning, etc. I assume this means that eventually magicdev will go away, since it's supposedly responsible for so many problems. What I'm wondering is, what's the way out of this mess? What's the long term solution to this problem? I'm not saying I have any answers - far from it - I'm asking out of curiosity, since I find it funny that while magicdev seems to be a requirement for now, to making things sane for regular users, some of its most vocal opponents seem to be Red Hat employees. :-) Anyone? - jck -- "The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable man persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
