That's okay..."hold yer breath" now has a nice easy to play brick-n-mortar travel version. You can even play it in yer car, or just walking around. I'd still think you'd enjoy it if you gave it a try. > Nope - never said that. > > I made the comment that games and > multimedia drive hardware purchases, > e.g. video cards, sound cards, RAM, > faster CPUs etc - worth many millions > of dollars - > Never mentioned linux there - Oh you weren't talking about linux...oh well that changes everything. Now yer just an OFF TOPIC troll, a doll of a troll, though. Good show. I applaud you for yer ability to drag even a Red Hat developer into your pointless drivel of a comment not aimed at linux. Good show, indeed! Nothing like wasting developer time...when it could be spent on 3d video support....oh well. Are you sure you don't want to try that "hold yer breath" game. I think I have a free demo around somewhere. If you want to talk about what drives Windows PC sales, and hardware for Windows PCs...be my guest...talk about it to yer hearts content, on a mailinglist for windows would probably be best. > > >Okay actually it started with yer very > >silly "3d support ain't good enough" > > > I'm beginning to think you've confused > me with someone else (especially since > I happen to like how 3D works on linux) Really...hmmm..looking back at all the posts I'm getting from the email address [EMAIL PROTECTED] both as "J Sloan" as as "joe", the comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] on thread "NVIDIA patches to run it on phoebe/rawhide kernels", would seem to indicate that someone posting as [EMAIL PROTECTED] has some issues with video driver stability with OSS 3d drivers other than the dusty old voodoo, and someone posting from the [EMAIL PROTECTED] addy took issue with mharris's statement that there doesn't exist any 3d video drivers that meet the definition of stability put forth by someone posting from the [EMAIL PROTECTED] email address. If there really are multiple people posting from the [EMAIL PROTECTED] email address, confusing between them would be an easy mistake to make. I apologize, my mental capacity is rather limited. But I encourage you to create and use gpg signatures, for each of the people who are going to be using that same email address. That would make it much easier to figure out which person is using [EMAIL PROTECTED] for each post, and to flame them accordingly. > <silly rants snipped> > > >Yer ability and fanatical desire to play FPS's doesn't constitute a > >driving force. > > > I have no idea what you're talking about here - This probably has to do with fact that there are appearantly multiple people using the same email account that you are using now to post from. I'm pretty sure someone posting from [EMAIL PROTECTED] has a fanatically desire to play FPS games, and does so on nvidia hardware, since they went out of their way to saying: "If you're not gaming, why not just use the 2D nv drivers? gaming is the only reason I can think of for futzing with the nvidia drivers..." And the only games or 3d applications [EMAIL PROTECTED] has mentioned to date have been first person shooters like RTCW. > "Didn't you just say that only idiots play 3D > FPS games? " Ah, there you go...assuming I'm like you....ignorant of my own idiocy. -jef"the humble idiot"spaleta -- Phoebe-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/phoebe-list
