Hi Bob.

I owe you a debt of gratitude so far. Thanks to your info I modified my 
database slightly to consider the date/time method you used in your 
code, modified my input of the date and voila, the output is perfect, 
just how i wanted it. will wait till after midnight to see if creates a 
new day for me. (did try changing the sys time lol, but didn't work)

The reason i was using the "class" was because of styling the <li> in an 
unordered list. The page my friend adds links to is sort of a blog of 
all the interesting links he finds on the web. the class represents 
which catagory it is in. for example he has 10 catagories, "news", 
"fun", "update", "pictures" and so on. the "class" is linked to a symbol 
to represent which catagory the link belongs to.

Thanks again for your patience and help. I know i will have some 
questions about it in the future when it comes to archiving and showing 
the archive.
