I also have ups and down. I just go with it when I have a good day and lay low 
when I'm having a bad day. I think our values vary and the IGF-1 just gives a 
picture of one point in time. It would be interesting to see a series over 
several weeks and see what happens. Initially, I was on Sandostatin LAR. My 
numbers looked great but I felt yucky. I finally had my IGF-1 taken at the end 
of the one month cycle for Sandostatin and found that it was high. I am now on 
somavert and my numbers were good for about 4 months and now they are high 
again. This is a frustrating disease and is really a process to get it under 
control.  I am also a patient of Dr. Katznelson.
