Sorry for being pedantic, but I have been slammed too often by Linux
wXXXXXs who like to point out that e.g. "NetBSD is not Unix".

"UNIX" is a trademark owned by the Open Group.  They have established 
strict guidelines as to when an OS may be called "UNIX".  Solaris
of course satisfies the requirements.

"Unix" generally refers to any OS built on the same principles (cf.
"Unix-like").

So "Unix" will probably be the better match here.

Now *that* is a different question. :-)
