Cool :-)

If someone has a package, send the manifest first, and we can figure
out which package tags we want to insist upon...

To whom should we send the manifests and eventually tarballs? My git
package takes 553MB when installed, so I don't fancy emailing that around
;-)

553MB? Seriously? My suggestion is to send the manifests here, until

Before I respin all my packages, here's one with a reasonably rich set of metadata, with attributes taken from the lists at <http://dlc.sun.com/osol/docs/content/IPS/ggdvj.html >.

I note that pkg info doesn't report the pkg.description value at all (in say the Summary). Not sure if pkg info's wrong, or the URL above is wrong.

The source's README has a one-line license lurking at the bottom, and it isn't clear to me how best to include it in the manifest, apart from by creating an extra file. Thoughts?

Cheers,

Chris
