The UC2 project is currently building for the following platforms:

i386 - Solaris/x86 (supports back to Solaris 9)
sparc - Solaris/sparc
linux_i386 - Linux/x86
windows - Windows/x86 (API tests only - CLI tests aren't working yet)
darwin - Darwin/universal (CLI tests are currently failing - looking into it now)

If you would use the platform names that are generated by the builds for the directory name, that would make it easy to checkin the baseline files. The platform name is listed before the hyphen above. I suppose it might be conceivable that we would have a different baseline for OpenSolaris/x86 and older Solaris/x86, but I hope not.

So maybe we can have a tests/baseline directory that contains subdirs for each
platform we support and then the baseline files could live in those
directories (per platform). How many platforms do we have? If there isn't
that many then generating the baseline files wouldn't be too bad. I guess the
only issue is that I only have access to one platform so I'd need help
maintaining the baseline files and checking in new ones when things changed.

That seems fine. I think the number of platforms will be sufficiently
small that this will be fine.
