What's the impact? Does this generate a katamari effect of dragging
in zillions of new pkgs?
Everything that SUNWj6rt depends on, of course. But seriously, pools
uses^H^H^H^Hdepends on Java (so does the DHCP server). Doesn't that
mean that the dependency should be documented? (And Java has to be
installed anyways for the FF Java plug-in, no?)
Perhaps the question should be: can resource pools be left off the
system?
There's a difference between SUNWpool and SUNWpoold... which I think
covers this problem. But I thought asking Rich to do the analysis
made sense. My belief is that 'slim_install' does not drag in this
stuff.
Well I'm new at this stuff, but I did notice that:
.../pkg/gate/src/util/distro-import/98/slim_cluster
has the following line already in it:
include i386/SUNWj6rt
Doesn't that mean the Java Runtime is already on the LiveCD?
