I might be tired, but I don't get what are you trying to achieve with this...
can you put it in lame terms and/or give a fantasy example?

don't worry about that discussion, try to extract the things you think
are useful
for your proposal, it was heated because there was too much talk, but no one
was actually doing anything about it.
