I thought that it was suggested to solicit feedback from the org before
submitting applications.  Isn't that what the intent in forming
[email protected] was for?

Also with the feedback from the several people who have emailed me off list I
am not sure if this is really a workable proposal.  For example, the plan 9
side of things is rather thin (I was trying not to commit to taking on to much
-- one of the major mistakes cited by everyone), and to much emphasis on the
linux side.  Have I addressed that adequately?  There is also the recent
heated discussion on 9fans, and I'm wondering just how well the work would be
received.  I would like to sort some of that out before I formally submit it
as application.
