Hi,

"Back to Basics"......

I like the idea of putting effort in those things that we use everyday and we
have lots a little focus about.

To me, the "traditional desktop" is the nexus of this community in many ways.

But I think that the message must be a global one. We have no power to give
several messages at the same time. Nuno propose two different things:
a.- A message
b.- Action based on that message

I wonder if we all can agree on B finding a message we all agree on.

Back to Basics as a global message is hard to associate with innovation. It is
not impossible, but difficult. It needs some energy into what Basics means.

We should be clear about what we mean with Basics. For example:
* For KDE Basics means freedom. Plasma Active is about that, bringing Freedom
to a set of devices.
* For artwork guys means ..... taking care about users.
* For the people close to Qt could mean..... get closer to Qt

(the above are random ideas...)

I mean that the message must be globally consistance. So before saying yes to
Nuno's idea, which I like, I would like to see different teams agreeing with it
and pushing in the same direction. If we accomplish this agreement.....this is
by far, our biggest hit Going back to Basics....
