Right now plex86 runs faster than Bochs (for the most part) when running
user-level (ring3) code--for the short stretches between instructions that need
to be trapped, but it suffers from some implementation problems still.  Kevin
is working on these problems right now.  For the moment, if you want speed (and
don't want to run the QNX demo-disk, for one), use Bochs.  This project isn't
just about getting more speed out of the virtualized hardware--it is about
making an actual open-source _true_ virtualization of the IA-Px architecture
that is both reasonably quick and as complete as possible.
