plex86 is LGPL according to the COPYING file in the CVS project and the
best of my recollection of the licensing discussions from lurking on the
list.

Yes, Mandrakesoft aquired the rights to Bochs when they hired Kevin (I'm
not sure of the details) and released it under the GPL with great fanfare
(justifiably, IMHO).  I sincerely hope that he's not regretting this
event, having moved on from Mandrake.

I personally am subscribed to the list mostly because I eagerly anticipate
the day when plex is mature enough to let my household run all necessary
Windows stuff under it so I don't have to keep rebooting the $#%@! box
when someone needs MS Publisher or whatnot. The possibility of having some
intensive work from CompSci grad students applied to the codebase sounds
wonderful!
