Uh-*huh*. It shows the message as an attachment because that's precisely what your client is sending; an empty message body, followed by a set of MIME headers indicating an ASCII QP-encoded attachment, followed by your message, followed by another set of MIME headers indicating the PGP signature follows, which indeed it does. The body of your message belongs in the actual message body, surprisingly enough, not a MIME attachment. The PGP signature ought to go in the headers, seeing as it's machine-readable metadata.
