Suppose we were to package plex86 so it could be used with DOSEMU instead of vice versa? Then DOSEMU, which is GPL, could use Plex86-converted-to-GPL. Wa-lah! Then DOSEMU becomes a full-fledged system almost identical to plex86, except it's GPL and it supports SVGA.
Of course, most of DOSEMU would not be used when doing that, indeed, at first only the video-related code would be used.
