The reason why I didn't do that so far was, that I wasn't sure how this is correctly done - is there any readme.txt where it is described what should to be considered (e.g. this c_plxxx, plxxx work around)? I think that some new (high level) plot features would be a very useful addition.
A second question is what to do with examples which don't test any new API but provide more or less a "showcase" what is possible with PLplot? This examples should not necessarily be coded in other languages as there were written in, they just produce nice plots using PLplot. Which directory should they go? Using xnn.c (nn a number) is bad, since all these examples are needed for testing so far, or? Should these examples be published on the website? With or without code? I ask, since I thought if I'm bored (which might not happen to soon ;) I do some nifty examples for fun. We could also ask the general/developer list for contributions.
