Thanks for those near-complete results for Cygwin which still look
fine with regard to any build or run errors or PostScript difference
regressions. Beyond that I was pleased you were able to solve the
ctest, DISPLAY, and shapelib issues. And I was also pleased that you
anticipated me by not disabling octave by brute force which allows our
build system to disable octave in a smooth way with appropriate
message explaining the situation.

TRY_OCTAVE4=ON utf-8 issue, and there is also obviously more work I
need to do on Cygwin Ada language support (where my first step will be
to review all my e-mail concerning previous tests of the current
Ada language support on Cygwin).

So while waiting (probably at least for a week) for me to attempt to
find solutions for those issues, there is nothing more for you to do
concerning Cygwin except possibly to agitate on the Cygwin lists
concerning packaging of gcc-java, ocamlidl, etc.

However, when you have time to work a bit more on PLplot, I would
appreciate you setting the following priorities in decreasing
order of priority:

1. The final version of the Fortran-only test for MinGW-w64/MSYS2
with the cmake and perl package install issues straightened out.

2. Generate a complete and up-to-date list of packages for
MinGW-w64/MSYS2 for your own use and mine.

3. Your first attempt at a near-complete comprehensive test for MinGW-w64/MSYS2
with all PLplot-relevant packages installed.

4. Respond to my last set of questions and suggestions concerning your
attempt to do comprehensive testing for the MSVC/ifort/nmake platform.

Alan
