I've seen this, too, with the 1.8 python parser, but not
reproducibly (most of my plucking is via sitescooper, so reproducing
a failed attempt requires a lot of twiddling like rolling back the
cache and moving files around and usually doesn't end up plucking
the exact same set of pages). I've also seen Plucker produce a
.pdb file on which pilot-xfer -i exits partway through without any
error message as to what's wrong. I'm not convinced the problem
was file size or number of links.
I tried to make a reproducible case so I could try to find a fix,
or at least file a useful bug, but when I couldn't get it to
happen on a static page, I downgraded to the python parser
from Plucker 1.6.2, which doesn't exhibit the problem.
So 1.6.2 might be a temporary workaround if you just want
to pluck one document.
Debian woody, Python 2.1, pilot-link 0.11.7, 768M RAM, 128M swap.
