I will try to run your script when I get back to my Linux installation.
I mostly boot to Windows to do Palm OS stuff, or to synch my mobile phone.
Ever since I figured out a way to share the Mozilla profile across operation systems, the only things that keep me coming back to Weandoze are Plucker and Docs TO Go.
Be sure I will let you know if it ever gets solved.
I would be interested in trying older versions or snapshots as well, if I knew where to get those.

There's a command-line parser program. When installed it's called plucker-build. (Before it's installed, it's called something like spider.py - don't ask me why the strange renaming happens. I guess it's to give make something to do.)
The program seems to be designed to do a daily sweep of multiple sites and pack that into a single document with a fixed name. You have to fiddle with a bunch of options to make it just pluck a single document and give the result a unique name. You'll probably have to build the documentation or read it from teh web site if the build fails.
For example, to take a local file and make it into a PDB in the current directory, I have a silly little shell script like the following, since I can never remember the requisite options.

In my case I didn't need the plucker-desktop or the palm build, and skipping them eliminated all the problems. I'm afraid I never went back to try to figure out what the problem was with the other components.
Just for fun, you might want to try ./configure --disable-palmosbuild --disable-desktopbuild --disable-docbuild
It worked fine as of some 1.6.2 cvs snapshot.
