Thanks to Dale, Alexander, Stephen, and all. I'm still investigating distro options. I have zero interest in "gaming".

To follow up on Alexander ... set up an Rsync to a single system so all of the others will sync to that system, or some of the other roaming profile options. I went with KDE on Garuda (Gaming centric) but Arch might be better for your needs. I like the current state of KDE Plasma. consider one that will let you keep updating from old to new or a good stable rolling release.
