What do you think is the problem when a squid process halted? It happened
already twice this month. The only solution I know is to reboot the proxy
Redhat Linux 6.0 machine.
Browser clients can still access webpages BUT it's very slow.
I type the command ps uax | grep squid. The output was,
nobody 407 0.8 90.3 368936 233036 ? D May 04 208:11 squid -NsY
What is the meaning of the letter D? Is it dead?
I decided to reboot the PC. After that it was working fine already. I need
a better solution for this problem. I'll appreciate your help.
My hardware is an AMD 400 MhZ. 256 Mb RAM.
2x9Gb scsi HD.
