I have used that driver. My current chipset is a VIA PM800/VT8236
(Biostar PM4VMA-M). It lacked some features like Gamma Correction so I
couldn't use it.

Neither am I a gamer... but I got the FX5500 for the DVI as it's the
cheapest current card with DVI output.

I see. That would be a productivity hit for me.

I'm looking forward to burning at 16X while doing normal work. That
would need a dedicated drive to feed the DVD writer.
