Yeah I've seen this stuff about a year ago (read something about it
that Motorola basically went for this rather than doing products for
the ISM band) ... it seems to be powered by an 802.3af injector.
motorola has been manufacturing canopy gear since at least 2001-2002. from the beginning it was never wifi, but some of their equipment worked in the ISM band. difference is they used FHSS instead of DSSS as the "real" wifi uses.
(they also sold 3.5ghz and 5.2/5.8ghz equipment)
