Each architecture has a corresponding development reports. I think Paolo meant this in the context of ports-by-cpu.[1] If so, then the current NetBSD runs on 16 CPU architectures, a little more than what most general-purpose GNU/Linux distros support. However, there are probably more special-purpose GNU/Linux distros, both FOSS and company-in-house, that may support other architectures besides toasters. > Im sorry for miscount but they are currently supporting 53 > architectures to date 53 ports, not architectures.[2] Footnotes: [1] http://netbsd.org/Ports/#ports-by-cpu [2] http://netbsd.org/Ports/#history -- Zak B.
