Hi,

Just upgraded Kubuntu Jaunty to Karmic this morning. After upgrading, I noticed
that shutdown was very fast. Now, that would be cool but it seems that the file
systems are not being unmounted cleanly. There seems to be some fsck checks
everytime I boot up. And sometimes, when I do a reboot or poweroff, there are a
lot of beeps.

I'm using Kubuntu Karmic Koala (upgraded from Jaunty) 64-bit on AMD64.

Or maybe I should try a clean install. If ever, this is the first time a distro
upgrade failed. And I just installed Jaunty on the machine a little bit more
than 1 month ago.
