Until recently, I backed up my laptop "server" (an ancient Toshiba 
Tecra 8200) using iSCSI to a Openfiler host. That worked pretty well. 
I've had to end-of-life my Openfiler server for hardware-related 
reasons; otherwise, I'd still be using it.
