No display or enclosure on the $99 system, development boards with displays are $795 way and more than I need. Here is a similar item at $200 or so, still no case though: http://www.luminarymicro.com/products/mdl-idm.html In an unrelated email, Aaron Burt pointed out that Power Over Ethernet avoids the need for a wall wart at the remote end, just an injector near the switch. That supports many other things, including wireless access points and cameras. I could get rid of a lot of wall warts that way, including the one currently driving the Alix. Regards the kits, I'm not looking for a hardware project, I'm hoping to find a complete little box with a very simple display and a few buttons, that I can buy off the shelf. An instant-on wakeup button would be nice, it does not need to be displaying or talking to the ethernet when I'm not using it. I suspect what I want is not out there, and I will end up stringing long USB cables to more Arduinos in boxes. -- Keith Lofstrom [email protected] Voice (503)-520-1993 KLIC --- Keith Lofstrom Integrated Circuits --- "Your Ideas in Silicon" Design Contracting in Bipolar and CMOS - Analog, Digital, and Scan ICs _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
