I'm also running Ubuntu 12.04, and I'm now confused and/or concerned ... On 07/29/2014 04:37:49 PM, Dick Steffens wrote: > I just logged in to one of my Ubuntu 12.04 machines via ssl. So ... I do not get this message using ssh. I don't know if that's good or bad. When I look at: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/1204_HWE_EOL it does appear to contradict itself. First saying that "End-of-life (EOL) for 12.04, 12.04.1, and 12.04.5 HWE is April 2017" but later saying: "Starting Aug 8, 2014 systems running 12.04.2 HWE, 12.04.3 HWE, or 12.04.4 HWE will no longer receive software updates ..." (which I think is the "last comment" you're referring to below). So, I guess I'd also like to know if anyone has more insight into this. I looked at a couple of other related Ubuntu web pages and I personally couldn't figure out what was going on. > > So, if I don't upgrade from 12.04.4 LTS I won't get kernel or graphics > stack security upgrades.
