This setup is already more than enough if you're going to run bare-bone
linux on this. Just don't expect it to handle millions of hists / day ;)
Another thing, if you're going to use this 24x7 , make sure the
paripherals are reliable. Our linux servers runs on generic pc's, no suns
or compaqs here. What we ensure though, is that the parts should be
reliable, seagate for drives, asus for motherboards, adaptec for
controllers and 3com for nics . They run hundreds of days without hitch.
btw, most network apps have spec like yours...
