Hi.
I've been trying to make the built-in audio work on my motherboard
(AC97) and I've used the driver on the Via Audio v1.11 which I downloaded on
the via.com.tw site, I am currently using Redhat v6.2 but I cannot seem to
make it work.
The VIA sound driver loads okay upon boot up but it cannot playback any
sound, also..everytime I try to check the configuration using sndconfig, it
would say "VIA Technologies VT82C686 Apollo Super AC97/Audio" --which is
correct then as it attempts to playback a sound, I would get the following
errors:
/lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/misc/via82cxx.o:init_module:device or resource
busy
/lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/misc/via82cxx.o:init_module:insmod
/lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/misc/via82cxx.o:init_module:failed
/lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/misc/via82cxx.o:init_module:insmod
