No money involved. Hmmm... that's right.
An additional benefit of using OSS in a lot of applications is when you need to
deploy fast, you can because the Purchase Order for the free piece of
software does not need to be made! No red tape! At a critical point, it will
spread like a virus if we seed enough new Linux people. (hmmm... we lose
our novelty....)
I'd like to see every Computer Science grad know how to install, network and
develop software under Linux.
Tayo tayo siguro dito medyo mga either cream of the crop or queer of the crop
that's why we are into Linux. But that's the story of Sci-Tech for most pinoys di
ba? If you are good in science and math and you like it, you're a "nerd".
In other countries, they are pushing it. China is pushing Linux et. al. because
they don't trust Microsoft (US company). India wanted the cost benefit. Mexico
did it. Why should the Philippines push Linux et. al. OSS?
