Yes that's true. Intel radically improved power usage on their mobile 
chips because of Transmeta.

But Transmeta was originally saying their tech was so great. And then 
Intel tweaked their chips a bit and got 80% of Transmeta's power 
performance. So it's not a revolutionary technology.
