Rick, Sorry, didn't mean to rub you the wrong way but I am glad to see that you do consistently answer rhetorical questions rather than merely collect them :)
Actually, all I wanted to know was if there was an existing forum for Philippine users which addresses this need. What I got was a lot of comments about how I should learn to use a shell -- which isn't the point at all since: 1. I actually do use bash whenever necessary :| 2. My wife has no inclination to do so :0 3. I know lots of guys who might use Linux if the shell wasn't a necessary tool in order to simply use Linux ;b So here's what I have in mind: 1. If the forum doesn't exist (apparently it doesn't,) and 2. if anyone else feels that there is a need, and 3. if I get a few favourable replies to my query, then I might be motivated to help create it. What I will not do is start a Yahoo discussion board and hope people show up. Apparently, up to now, there are very few plug users out there who care about this subject to encourage an effort. Too bad. It might be fun.
