We have a simple DSL router that also acts as a firewall to
the internal network by forwarding only certain ports to
different internal servers.
A colleague has been insisting that we need a physical
firewall (hardware). I'm not sure what to recommend.
Are there any major firewall hardware that do more
than port forwarding? Maybe an all-in-one dsl modem/router,
firewall and should support VPN connections (maybe from Microsoft also?)
Or is it better to get separate boxes for each?
Any comments would be highly appreciated.
