Actually it's great. People out there deriding Windows and pushing Linux 
with the avidity of zealots probably don't know how *good* Microsoft 
products have become, in general.

It's easy to trash what you don't know or don't care to learn.

That said, M$ is still crap-full of explots and bugs, but these are 
generally client-side issues (dumbing down everything to make things 
easy.. makes things insecure).

But of course I'm glad Linux is around; I seriously doubt M$ would have 
shaped up this fast if they didn't feel the threat. And yes M$ is abusive 
of its monopoly position -- they have to, to justify their astronomical 
P/E ratio. But to simply with a broad brush tar their products as crappy 
is incorrect.

The point is that, people who just deride Windows and make useless
comments like "your box will blow up since you use Windows" simply don't
know what they're talking about.
