not by any stretch of my imagination can i equate RAPE with DEFACEMENT.

it's no different with sysads around the world. that's just about we can practically 
do: DEFEND. that's why it's VERY important to secure your systems like hell. best 
offense is great defense, then just pray an 0day vuln+sploit won't come your way...

not being able to pursue a case against the attacker is NOT the major issue. how the 
machine was compromised and their recovery procedure IS, and Mr. Chua should focus on 
that instead.

implement an image dode confirmation/validation system on sensitive login pages to 
discourage brute-force. it's been the norm for over 2 years now.
