Jerry Pournelle has been recommending PC Power and
Cooling power supplies and cases (and fans) forever. I don't
know if they're available locally, but it might be worth your while
to have a bunch sent over from overseas if you can't get them
locally. That's got to be more expensive than necessary for
home use, but for servers, the premium is worth it.

the overclockers have discussed this before too :).

but they probably focus more on sustained and high output
rather than on long term reliability. i saw that link lang
because i was searching for comments on PC Power &
Cooling. someone says it's the cadillac of power supplies
but expensive, of course.
