i got a notice from the post office that i have a package waiting to be claimed at the makati post office. the fee is already specified in the notice. a couple of my officemates also received this kind of notification when their java certifications were mailed to them. funny thing is their certification got held up because it contained a complimentary pin from Sun Microsystems. Instead of getting their mailed certifications here in the office, they had to troop down to the post office and pay the standard fee.
anyway, when i retrieved my package the people in charge said they have to open the package (ito na yata yung tinitingnan if they can charge custom duties on the package). i guess the word "Evaluation copy" plastered all over the cd jacket exempted me from paying additional fees. ciao!
