I've gotten stuff from the Makati Post Office. The tax is actually (legally) 15% import tax and 10% VAT, on the gross declared value (that is, declared value plus cost of shipping).
You don't count the CD's one by one (equals 100 CD's) if they are in one package and there is a total declared value on the package. Naghahanap lang ng delihensya yung useless customs guy na yun. I've bought lots of stuff that went thru the Makati Post Office. My CD's from Amazon were charged the full 25% tax (the customs guy was slow on his feet... I guess he didn't expect me to PAY the legit tax because natagalan sila maghanap ng OR... that tells you something, they must've expected na "aayusin" ko nalang). But I've also bought other stuff that they didn't have a clue what it was (e.g. Zeiss lens) so I got charged 20 pesos.
