it might also just be neglected for one or another reason (e.g., patrick's recent illness and getting ready for the next release, note: i'm just guessing here, no flames please). there were a reasonable number of advisories in 2004 and 2003. but none so far in 2005. is that because there really haven't been any advisories? hmmm, no, i look at the RH advisories for RHEL AS and there are quite a few (postgres, htdig, kernel, php, xpdf, vim, libtiff, squirrelmail, thunderbird, kdegraphics, etc). hmmm, but the libtiff fix in RH is done in Feb 2005, but the same fix is done in slackware in Nov 2004. RH has the deserialization bug in Feb 2005, i don't see it in slackware at all. there are several php related advisories in slackware, but none that i can see for CAN-2004-1019. maybe slackware never had that bug? or maybe it just never got attended to. tiger --- Gerald Timothy Quimpo http://bopolissimus.blogspot.com [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Public Key: "gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys 672F4C78" Mene sakhet ur-seveh -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
